What in the world are these mysterious drones that have been flying over New Jersey the past couple weeks? Or, at least, we believe they’re drones. Nobody has really gone up there to confirm, and no one has brought one down to take a look at these things. Instead, for some bizarre reason, we’ve just been letting them fly around up there, causing a ruckus in the news and most government officials to simply shrug their shoulders. Are they new government technology, drones from a foreign adversary, a hobbyist project, or are they UFOs and UAPs?
Let’s start with what might probably be the easiest explanation. Most officials who have looked into the matter have stated these drones are not a hobbyist project. Given the scale of these objects, the numbers of them, and the sophistication of the technology they seem to display, if this were to be some sort of side project by a drone enthusiast, then this particular person (or group) would have to be wealthy or, at least, very well-funded. Sure, I could purchase a good-quality commercial drone for a few hundred dollars, but that’s not what we’re talking about here. These particular drones appear to be about six feet in diameter and contain a technology that eludes radar detection and is making it difficult for officials to track. The couple times police helicopters have gone up to take a look, the drones have turned off their lights and have seemingly disappeared into the night sky. However, to this point, these craft have only been witnessed over New Jersey which indicates a local point of origin. Could this be a billionaire’s practical joke?
This morning, in response to claims by Rep. Jeff Van Drew, R-NJ, that an Iranian “mothership” was lurking in international waters in the Atlantic and launching the craft over America, the Pentagon stated these drones were not from a foreign adversary. Could the Pentagon’s statement just be one to quell any fears in the citizens of New Jersey? Sure, of course, and if these drones originate from some foreign adversary, whether that was Iran, China, or some other opposing nation, wouldn’t we have already scrambled the jets and shot them down out of the sky? New Jersey’s governor, Phil Murray, has stated he has no problem with them being shot down, leaving no roadblocks in the way of such a course of action. The U.S. has launched jets into the skies before when we’ve had unidentified objects in the sky over our airspace (yes, that does, technically, make these drones UFOs), so why haven’t we now?
That brings us to our next possibility. Are we not doing anything about these drones because, well, they’re ours? We wouldn’t scramble the jets and shoot them down out of the sky if they were our own technology. But the Pentagon has also stated these craft are not ours, and in congressional hearing, the FBI stated they simply have no idea what they are. However, if this was some sort of secret U.S. military project, would they really admit to that? Of course not – hence, the word “secret.” This could be a secret project in a couple different ways. Yes, they could be testing the technology aboard these drones. How well can they avoid radar detection? How well can they avoid approaching aircraft like the police helicopters? It could also be a secret project to gauge the reaction by the public. Is there going to be a mass panic? This idea goes back to the Brookings Report in 1960 and the implications of humanity’s response to the possibilities of extraterrestrial life. Are those days behind us now that we’ve had several decades to grow accustomed to the idea that there’s other life out there in the universe and it may be visiting our planet? Perhaps … although a few years ago we certainly didn’t handle the toilet paper scare very well.
For the most part, the possibility that these drones might not have a human source hasn’t been talked about in traditional media, but why not? At this point, they are Unidentified Flying Objects – objects flying in the sky that no one has been able to (or is willing to) identify. An interesting aspect of the “Iranian mothership” idea is that, reportedly, the U.S. Coast Guard has witnessed these craft approaching the land by sea. If that’s true, and that’s the origin for, at least, some of these, and it’s not a foreign adversary’s ship, then what’s the source? If it’s a secret government project, then sure, these could be coming off some sort of U.S. Navy vessel. However, could these also be coming from some underwater extraterrestrial or ultraterrestrial base? If that were the case, then this would also be a situation in which the U.S. government would not try attempting to shoot these things down. Risking provocation with a highly advanced civilization, or at least one in which we don’t understand, probably wouldn’t be a wise course of action.
It will be interesting to see how all of this unfolds, and it seems as if more information is coming out by the minute. Just as I was typing up this blog this morning more reports were coming out on the matter (although much of it was repetitious of details we’d already learned over the past couple weeks). What do you think these drones are? Hobbyists? The U.S. Government or military? A foreign adversary? Or could they even be the work of some other intelligent lifeforms residing on this planet … or beyond?
